We arrived at the Shanghai airport...processed our passports...received our boarding passes...some paid a fee for oversize baggage...and then it was time for photos. Effee wanted pictures with everyone...and he wanted some as mementos for what he remembered about them. For example, with Zack, it was his hat that he carried around the whole trip!
One of the things about Anthony was the shoes...they were matching....only not the same size!

you may notice the 'turned up collars'...this was how Effee always wore his shirts. He was surprised in the beginning that we didn't do that with collared shirts. It protects his neck from the sun, he told me.
We had another leader photo with Bei...who mostly went by Grace. She was our city guide for Shanghai and she was wonderful!!!

We had some tearful goodbyes in Shanghai...and once we reached Seattle, there were some major tearful goodbyes between the two groups. We had joined together 17 days earlier, but now it felt like we'd been friends for years
Next stop.... SFO!
What an amazing journey we were on together. China is an absolutely magically place...made all the better with Effee as our delegation manager. I hope all of you delegates enjoyed this journey half as much as I did. In 9 years of People to People, it has to be at the top!
